Stephanie Truex, Manager

Stephanie has been with the firm for over 29 years.  During this time she has developed her talents in many ways, including Financial Statement preparation and General Ledger analysis, Quickbooks setup and training, business management, tax preparation, and network administration.  She also has experience helping clients with internal accounting problems, and enjoys teaching/training both clients and staff on accounting concepts and software.  Stephanie’s greatest talent is the way she interacts with our clients, giving them excellent service and the confidence that things are being done right.  Several of our clients have been in her care from when she first started 29 year ago.

Stephanie and her husband, Fred, have a beautiful daughter, Jessica, who is attending graduate school here in Southern California.  Stephanie enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and other family and friends whenever possible.  She has many interests including travel, movies, gardening, and summertime get-togethers around the pool.
 
 

 

 
Michelle Kemmer, Accountant

Michelle joined Allegent Group in July 2006 as our Business Management Specialist, having worked closely with our firm for almost 10 years as the owner of her own bookkeeping company.  She has over 15 years of experience working with companies in a broad range of industries, including retail, healthcare, and entertainment.  She has extensive experience with Quickbooks, allowing our clients to take full advantage of its many financial reporting functions, such as the inventory reporting system.  To no surprise, Michelle is our lead person in Quickbooks set-up and training.

Michelle enjoys riding her horse when she isn't working or rock climbing.

 

 

 
Elaine Leff, Accountant

Elaine is a senior level staff member specializing in small business accounting and taxation.  She joined our firm in September, 2006 after over 17 years with a Woodland Hills CPA firm where she ultimately became a principal and shareholder.  Combining her experience with a diverse group of industires and her thorough knowledge of Quickbooks she provides our clients with excellent service and attention to their needs.

In her spare time Elaine loves to read and spend time with her friends and family.

 

 

  
Jeff French, Manager, CPA, MBT
 
Jeff rejoined Allegent Group in 2008 after spending 4 years with Holthouse, Carlin, & Van Trigt. He has over 8 years of accounting experience and has focused primarily on business and individual taxation, and completed his Masters in Business Taxation from the University of Southern California in the summer of 2010. However, from time to time he also performs compilations, reviews, audits, and other attestation work. He communicates with taxing authorities on behalf of our clients on a regular basis and is a proficient tax planner and researcher.
 
Jeff lives in Simi Valley with his small family. He and his wife, Danielle, were recently blessed with a son in November, 2009 and are very excited for the journey that lies ahead. Jeff enjoys playing most sports, especially golf, softball, and basketball. He also enjoys playing the drums and piano. He is an active member at Simi Valley Community Church and volunteers for the stewardship committee and the music ministry.
 

 
 
Paulette Ganzer, Office Manager
 
Paulette has been the firm’s office manager longer than see wants to remember.  She started out working part time for Larry when their children were younger and then full time as they grew up.  She is in charge of all the daily administrative functions with the firm, doing the bookkeeping and paying the bills for Allegent Group, keeping things organized within the office, working with Quick Books and working extra hard during tax season.  She helps our clients with any questions they might have or will get someone within the firm who can assist them.
 
Paulette loves playing golf several times per week and on occasion will even have a lower score than Larry.  She enjoys taking boxing, working out with her trainer, and swimming.  When she has time to relax she is either reading, knitting, or going to Clipper games.  Yes, Clippers! Her son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Taryn, gave her a beautiful  grandson, Trevor, who was born November 25, 2007. One year later her daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Mark, gave her a gorgeous granddaughter, Maddi, that was born December 8, 2008. Needless to say her life is very busy these days.
 

 

Steve Foster, Office Manager

Steve has worked in a CPA office since March, 1993. He has served as the office manager as well as answering phones. In addition, Steve handles the payroll, monthly bookkeeping, and computer setup on newer clients. 

Steve is a Viet Nam veteran and enjoys playing golf, gardening, and bowling in his spare time.

Gina Andersen, Business Management Associate

Gina began working for Allegent Group back in 2003 as a part-time employee. In 2008, she graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business Management from Cal State University, Northridge and began working full-time as the firm's Administrative Assistant. Gina performs a wide range of services, such as routine monthly accounting, business management, preparation and assembly of individual and corporate tax returns, and preparation of quarterly payroll and sales tax returns. She also assists in payroll processing, answering phones, and other administrative duties.

Gina and her husband happily welcomed a beautiful baby girl in March, 2010. In her spare time, Gina enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends.
